Baptisms in the parish normally take place outside mass- on Saturday or Sunday afternoons at Our Lady of Ransom, St Agnes or St Gregory. If you wish to have your baby baptised at one of the three churches it is necessary to attend a preparation evening first. The course is run by Eric and Joanne Knight over one session for all parents who wish to have their children baptised into the Catholic faith. It is usually held on a Monday or a Tuesday evening in the Presbytery from 7 to 9pm. There is normally a new course running every six weeks, details of which are given below. We try to ensure a relaxed environment and to assist us it would be appreciated if parents could arrange a babysitter for the evening. It is important that both parents attend the course, whether or not they are Catholic. The aim of the Baptism course is to prepare parents for the child's journey into the Catholic faith.
